hypermarket infiltration
The increase in the number of hypermarkets in the Czech Republic speaks to the rise of rampant consumerism in the country, dominating as a place for purchasing food and drinks for the Czech people, specifically families. Attracted by the the vast range of products, low prices, and easy accessibility around town, it has become a daily practice to visit one of these hypermarkets, some of which include Tesco, Albert, Interspar, etc. As the number of hypermarkets continues to rise, we should acknowledge the immense impact they have on the Czech people and what it says about their consumption habits post Communism.
